The annual
“Worldwide Children’s Holy Hour” is beautiful
in its simplicity, free, and yet more powerful than a nuclear
exchange.
As Our Lord said, “Let the children come to me and do
not hinder them...” (Matthew. 19:14). |

Pope
Benedict XV
In a meeting with the
children of Rome, Pope Benedict XV pleaded for the prayers of children
around the world, to pray for an end to World War I.
Their prayers were answered.
Within a short time the “Angel of Peace”
appeared to the “Little Shepherds” of Fatima. He taught
them how to adore Jesus truly present in the Eucharist, including
prayers of Eucharistic reparation.

In 1992, at
the close of the International Year of the Family, John Paul II,

entrusted today’s crisis in families to the prayers of children.
What
is the” Worldwide Children’s Holy Hour”?
Children from
around the globe, from the smallest of villages to those in the
largest of cities, spiritually unite and follow along with the Holy
Hour program.
United ~ they need this explained to them ~ they will then experience
the joy of knowing that children just like themselves around the
globe are also gathered before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament,
right in their own parish churches and chapels, praying the same
prayers for their own family and all the families of the world.
Who
participates in the Worldwide Holy Hour?
This Holy Hour is for all the children of the world:
Catholic school students, Religious Education students, and home
schooled
children.
It is broadcast live from the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception
in Washington, D.C., to help parishes, schools, and families throughout
the
world focus on Eucharistic and Marian unity.
Please print out the
Holy Hour Program and share it with your pastor or school principal,
or simply follow along with your own family.
The Hearts of Jesus and Mary will see and hear this concert
of love:
We are the Children of the World ~ Answering His Call.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will
hear a beautiful gentle thunder from the earth, the prayerful voices
of children,
praying for peace in their families and world.
